Barbados, West Indies, Jan 15, 2002 - Digital Rez International ports ROS2000 data structure to the Oracle 8i (Intel) database platform

Digital Rez International (DRI) announced the completion of an undertaking to port its ROS2000 data structure to the Oracle 8i (Intel) database platform.
"Our development and testing team reviewed and rewrote every aspect of ROS2000 to further standardize the underlying data structure in ten short weeks", stated Ken Lahoda, CEO of Digital Rez International. "While Microsoft's SQL Server 2000 system is very robust, true enterprise level scalabilty and stability requires that Digital Rez products run on Oracle's most recent platform releases."
DRI entered into the process in order to fulfill requirements placed upon the company on a major project yet to be announced. The project's rollout date is expected to be in April 2002 with full implementation to follow in July.
"The improvements to the system put us right on track to be able to provide a very powerful interface and platform capable of handling thousands of processes a second and millions of reservation clients", Ken Lahoda continued.
Other major aspects of the project also required Digital Rez to tie into cutting edge Client Relationship Management (CRM) improvements being programmed into Oracle's latest Application Server version. Support for transfer into Oracle's newest accounting systems were also a requirement.
In addition, Rez Robot will provide support for Cisco System's new "Voice Over Internet protocol" (VOIP) call center hardware to allow more than 125,000 members to dial in and make reservations into the same central server system. The exchange methodology adopts XML protocols allowing for other IP enabled telephony systems to be added later.
These developments put Rez Robot on track to provide not only Internet-based but also operator and Interactive Voice Response (IVR) functionality to handle large numbers of clients regardless of their method of access to varied types of reservation inventory.
