Today, Digital Rez announced the official release of ROS2006, the replacement for its mainstream ROS2000 product which now serves over 3000 operations worldwide. The upgrade provides enhanced credit card collection services and the much-awaited enhancements to RezRobot 2.0 technology which enables resorts to better manage their own website's online reservations.
Resorts are given full control over their inventory; they decide how much inventory to make available and set their own online rates. Operators can also make changes in their inventory 24/7. Digital Rez' registered, support paying clients will receive the ROS2006 upgrade free of charge.
"Digital Rez will not be increasing licensing or support fees for ROS2006 because this year, we feel the industry needs a break from the onslaught of higher gasoline and wage prices during the 2006 peak tourism season" stated Ken Lahoda, founding CEO of the company.
ROS2006 has also been enhanced with new security deposit management capabilities, providing operators the ability to track multiple articles such as keys, towels, room safes or whatever other items a resort may wish to hold a refundable deposit on. If the security deposit is withheld, the system automatically converts it from a tally on the liability side of the customer's bill, into an assigned revenue product or service charge.

In addition to all of these great new features, ROS2006 is Digital Rez' first step in providing camping resorts the opportunity to not only manage bookings from their own websites, but eventually allocate inventory to RVTripsetter (www.rvtripsetter.com ), which will provide access to Trailer Life and Woodall's 600,000 directory subscribers for additional bookings. "Once the RVTripsetter system has been fully tested and prepared for rollout this summer, we'll be encouraging all of our campground resorts to sign up and join the world's largest central booking system for camping. The service currently provides free registration and a low 7% booking fee with rapid remuneration to the resort", stated Kevin Hall, General Manager of Digital Rez' Barbados head office.
ROS2006 has also been enhanced with a new context sensitive help system which, when the "F1" key is pressed, intuitively delivers the user to help documentation pertinent to the function being performed within the application.
